Custom Peekaboo Pet Mug

Finish your coffee and there’s your own cat at the bottom of the mug, looking up at you. LycheeCeramic sculpts a small 3D figurine of the actual pet from the photos you send, sets it inside a handmade ceramic mug, and adds a name or short message on the outside if you’d like one.

The mug holds 350 milliliters, a little under 12 ounces, and you choose a single glaze color. It’s dishwasher and microwave safe, which is more practical than you might expect from something with a tiny sculpture inside. Each mug is handmade, so small differences from piece to piece are part of the charm. Prices start around $42, with an optional gift box.

It suits the person whose phone wallpaper is their cat, and it’s a thoughtful choice for someone remembering a cat they’ve lost. When you order, send clear photos and point out any markings, like a white chin or a crooked tail stripe, that make the cat recognizable.

The catch: it’s custom made, so leave plenty of lead time before a birthday or holiday. And a figure rising from the bottom makes the mug fussier to scrub by hand than a plain one, even if the dishwasher handles it fine.
