Razer Nommo Chroma Gaming Speakers

The Razer Nommo Chroma puts sound and color on either side of your monitor. The black speakers keep the palette simple, while Chroma RGB lighting brings the gaming-desk flourish. For a PC gamer ready to spend less time wearing a headset, the useful upgrade is letting game audio play into the room, with a physical bass control within reach.

Each speaker contains a 3-inch woven glass fiber driver. Razer says that construction helps keep higher-frequency details and distinct audio layers clear. Rear-facing bass ports add bass output, though this is a 2.0 system with no separate subwoofer. Think of it as a self-contained pair for your desk, not a surround-sound setup. USB and 3.5mm connection options give you two ways to hook it up, with PC and Mac support.

The bass knob is the detail I’d pay attention to. It includes automatic gain control and lets you adjust the low end without opening a settings menu. That’s useful when an evening game runs late: leave the speakers on, turn the bass down, and keep the next explosion a little less disruptive.
