The inCharge 6 is a stubby charging cable that lives on a keyring, and its two ends snap together with magnets so it closes into a neat loop instead of dangling. Pull the ends apart and it covers six ways of connecting: USB-A or USB-C on one side, and USB-C, Lightning or Micro USB on the other.
That means one small cable can charge an iPhone from a laptop, an older Micro USB gadget from a wall brick, or a pair of wireless earbuds straight from a USB-C phone. It syncs data while it charges, too. The housing is zinc-aluminum alloy, there’s a TPU guard where the cable bends, and inside are 90 braided copper wires. It’s rated for 15 watts.
It suits the guy who is forever borrowing chargers at work, in the car or at the in-laws’, and the one with a drawer of devices that all want a different plug. Because it rides on his keys, it’s there when the phone hits 4 percent.
The catch: it’s short on purpose, so the phone has to sit right next to whatever is powering it. At 15 watts it’s for topping up phones and earbuds, not for charging a laptop.
