Most shared showers come down to one person getting the good spray while the other waits at the edge. Boona adds a second head on an insulated hose that stretches across the shower, so each of you gets your own stream from a single setup. The patented hose is the detail that matters most to me, since it is meant to keep the water from cooling as it crosses the gap instead of leaving whoever is standing farther away with lukewarm water.
The install is quick by design. The maker says it goes together in under ten minutes with no tools, which is a relief if you rent and would rather not call a plumber. The body is 304 stainless steel with brass fittings, and the company backs it with a 5-year warranty. It is also UL safety-verified, which is not something you see on most shower heads.
You get three spray modes: Max Pressure, Rainfall, and Swedish Massage. Max Pressure is the one to try first if you are the person who always loses the argument over the stream.
The main limit is width. Boona is made for showers that measure 56 to 75 inches across, so a narrower stall will need the compact adapter, which is sold separately. Check your measurement before you order.
