Ten magnets sewn into a wrist strap sounds like a gag until you’re on a ladder holding a ceiling fan and need the next screw. The RAK Magnetic Wristband holds screws, nails, bolts, washers and drill bits right on the back of the wrist, so there’s no climbing down to the parts tray or patting every pocket mid-job. The magnets are spread out to cover almost the whole wrist.
The outer shell is tear-resistant 1680 ballistic nylon, and the inside is a padded, breathable mesh. The body is 14.5 by 3.5 inches with a fully adjustable strap that fits most wrists. It doesn’t have to stay on the arm, either: it can strap to a belt or hang at the workbench as a spot to stick loose hardware.
It suits the weekend fixer who handles his own cabinets, light fixtures and car jobs, and who has watched at least one screw roll under the fridge. It comes in color gift packaging, so it’s ready to wrap as is.
The catch: magnets only grab what’s magnetic, so brass and aluminum hardware won’t stay put. It’s also a strap full of small sharp things, so it comes off before anyone gets a hug.
