Paladone Darth Vader Helmet Light with Sound

Switch on this little Darth Vader helmet and it glows red while playing his official mechanical breathing sound. That breathing is the whole joke, and it’s the reason this lands better than a plain Vader figure on a desk.

The helmet is 14 centimeters tall, a little under 6 inches each way, small enough to share a desk with a keyboard or sit on a nightstand or a shelf in a gaming room. It runs on two AAA batteries instead of a cable, so it can go anywhere without a cord trailing behind it. Paladone makes it under an official license, and the red light is closer to mood lighting than a reading lamp, which suits a dim gaming setup.

It’s an easy, low-cost gift for the fan who has always rooted a little for the Empire, a coworker who’d enjoy a Sith Lord breathing at the next meeting, or a teenager building out a themed room. It also works as a small add-on to a bigger Star Wars present.

The catch: the AAA batteries aren’t included, and at 14 centimeters it’s a desk accent, not a statement piece, so don’t expect it to light up a whole room.
