LEGO Star Wars Brick-Built Star Wars Logo (75407)

There’s a little surprise built into the T of this LEGO Star Wars logo, and you only find it partway through the build. The rest of the 700-piece set turns the yellow logo from the opening of A New Hope into a 3D model, with the black gaps between the letters packed with greebling, the fiddly mechanical texture LEGO fans know from starship hulls.

Finished, it’s a bit over 5 inches high, 11.5 inches wide and only about 1 inch deep, so it stands on a shelf or desk like a nameplate for an entire collection. It can sit behind a row of LEGO Star Wars ships and helmets as a backdrop, or stand alone above a monitor. LEGO rates it 18+ and pitches it at adults who build to unwind, which makes it a good first set for a fan who has never tried the grown-up LEGO line, and a satisfying add-on for someone who already owns a few helmets.

It’s also one of the few Star Wars gifts that reads instantly from across a room. Nobody needs to know which character it is.

The catch: it’s designed to stand on a flat surface, so anyone hoping to hang it on a wall will need a separate mount, and at 1 inch deep it’s worth parking somewhere it won’t get knocked.
