Queen-Size Truck Bed

Someone took “truck bed” literally enough to build one that holds a queen-size mattress. Made from fiberglass and wood, it includes a headboard, footboard, frame, plexiglass window, and working lights. That last detail gets me: if you’re putting a truck in your bedroom, you might as well commit to the lights.

It’s made to order and can be painted any color, so the paint job can suit your room rather than dictate it. You can also lower the mattress, an unusually sensible detail for a bed with its own lights. I’d choose this for a car obsessive’s own bedroom, where the truck theme will get daily appreciation rather than a single laugh from a guest.

Before you start picking paint, though, get the delivery numbers. The build takes three weeks, shipping requires a quote, and delivery isn’t included in the price, so you can’t judge the total cost from the bed alone.
