Chainmate Pocket Chainsaw

A chainsaw that comes with a pouch sounds like a suspiciously ambitious packing decision. The Chainmate pocket chainsaw makes more sense once you see the format: a 24-inch chain with carbon steel teeth, built for gathering firewood. This is the sort of gift that suits someone whose idea of a good afternoon includes finding wood to cut, rather than admiring a neatly stacked delivery.

The practical details are the draw here. It’s lightweight and portable, and the included pouch has a belt clip. We like that the carrying setup is part of the package, not another thing to track down before taking it out. It’s also made in the USA.

For the firewood-gathering friend, this has a clear job and a compact format. For everyone else, the phrase “pocket chainsaw” is probably doing most of the heavy lifting.
