There’s something appealing about a bike rack that almost disappears when the bike is out. This little white-and-orange clip grips the tire, leaving the floor to support the bike rather than hanging it by a wheel. For an apartment where the bike keeps migrating between the hallway and the sofa, a fixed parking spot with very little hardware on show makes sense.

The Roadie version fits tires measuring 23 to 32mm wide, and you can position it to store your bike vertically or horizontally. It comes with mounting hardware, drywall anchors, and a template you can tape to the wall before drilling. I like that the design focuses on one small point of contact instead of adding a shelf, arm, or tray to the room. It gives the bike somewhere to belong without making the empty rack much of a presence.

Check your tire width before ordering, though. CLUG comes in five sizes, and the Roadie doesn’t offer much forgiveness for a sizing mistake: too small and the tire won’t fit; too large and your bike can slip out.
