DIY Terrarium Kit

Got a jar you like too much to recycle? This kit gives you a reason to put it on display, with orchid bark, fast-draining potting soil, activated charcoal, river rocks, and assorted mosses to build a little landscape. The appeal is getting those separate ingredients together without committing to full bags of supplies for one tabletop project.

A spray bottle, instructions, and small accents are included too. I like this for someone who’s more interested in arranging moss and rocks than tracking down a shopping list. There’s still a hands-on project here, but the materials gathering has been done for you. Small, medium, and large options let you choose a kit with your intended container in mind.

Shipping is limited to the US, so international terrarium ambitions will need another source. The container isn’t included either, which makes this a better buy for someone with a vessel already picked out. As a gift, it needs a little extra shopping before the recipient can start building.
