A robot fish is the perfect item for a certain type of child. You know the type of child I am talking about. If you question a child’s ability to be responsible enough to truly care for a gold fish, this child may benefit from a battery operated fish.

Some adults fit into this category too. A battery operated fish us the perfect gift for that co-worker who likes the concept of having a fish but doesn't have time to clean the water, or feed the fish.

Regardless if you are considering getting a fish for a child or an adult a robotic pet fish will solve many problems. First, the water does not need to be cleaned.

Second, there is no daily feeding schedule. In fact, it doesn't need to be fed at all. It does, however, run on a battery which will need to be changed from time to time.

Third, the fish is not limited to swimming in its fish bowl. Some children enjoy playing with their fish in the bathtub. What other fish serves as a decoration and a toy all in one?

On the downside, the fish may be seen as boring by some people's standards. The robot fish tends to swim in circles when it is in the bowl. A real fish would change directions, swim to the bottom of the bowl, or swim to the top. The battery operated fish is limited in its movement.

The robotic fish does have something in common with a real pet fish. Neither one appear to have a long life span. Pet fish tend to have a short life expectancy. The batteries in a robot fish operate on limited basis too.

If you would like to own a pet fish, but don't want the inconvenience of cleaning and feeding it, there is an alternative. Try a battery operated fish. They are easy to care for and inexpensive to maintain.
