Uzi Glass Breaking Tactical Pen

Most pens are prepared for a grocery list. The Uzi Tactical Pen also has a carbide glass-breaking tip at the opposite end from its ballpoint. That’s a fairly dramatic second job for something you use to write “more coffee,” but it makes sense for the person who likes everyday gear with a backup purpose.

The body is lightweight aircraft aluminum, and the pen takes standard and Fisher Space Pen refills. You can keep using it when the ink runs out instead of retiring the whole gadget. As a gift, it suits the practical tinkerer or camping enthusiast more than someone who just wants a nice desk pen.

The rough texture can be hard on clothing, so think twice before giving it permanent residence in a favorite pocket. We like the useful combination here: an actual writing tool with an emergency glass breaker, rather than another gadget that mostly occupies drawer space.
