DJI OM 4 Smartphone Gimbal

The DJI OM 4 is for the friend whose phone videos turn every walk into a small earthquake. Its magnetic phone clamp lets you attach or remove your phone quickly, while 3-axis stabilization keeps moving footage smoother. That quick on-and-off connection is the appealing bit: taking a clip doesn’t have to become a whole equipment ceremony.

For filming kids, pets, or another person, ActiveTrack 3.0 follows the subject, and the joystick lets you fine-tune the framing. Gesture controls also let you take a photo or start recording without reaching for the phone. Double-pressing the M button switches between portrait and landscape, so changing the shot isn’t a menu expedition.

There’s a playful side, too: DynamicZoom creates that stretchy, slightly unsettling Hitchcock-style zoom effect as you walk. We like this for someone who actually enjoys making phone videos, not just collecting camera accessories.
