Sliding a tiny illuminated forest between heavy hardcovers instantly turns an ordinary shelf into something magical. Assembly takes a couple of patient hours, but once you wire up the soft LED light, the miniature tree house casts a cozy glow that cheap plastic inserts just cannot match. The detail in the wooden canopy is fantastic, though you will want fine tweezers for the smallest branch pieces.
