Laser Tag Board Game
The game is an Egyptian theme with twenty-eight game pieces. The pieces are Obelisks, Djeds, Pyramids and Pharaohs. The pieces have mirrored and non-mirrored sided allowing for laser play. The object of the game is to eliminate the opponent. Elimination happens upon the illumination of an opponent's playing piece. However, due to the nature of the game, it is also possible to eliminate non-opponent pieces, which adds to the strategy and challenge of the game.
This game is a great addition to any collection of strategy games. This is a very easy game to learn, but it is very hard to master. The rules are simple, but the game play options are many. There are also some expansions to the game that will add many more options to the already expansive game play.
From one who has grown up on either side of the chess board, I have found this game to be extremely challenging. It is just as complex as chess and Othello, and would make a very good tournament style game experience. The laser part of the game grabs the interest of children, while the competition keeps the interest of the "brainiac". Would possibly challenge the average nerd as there are many ways to start the game, therefore eliminating consistency. This is the part that keeps the challenge going and requires deep thought and strategy. This is a great way to spend a rainy day. Players will not finish a game quickly, nor will they be able to play just one time.
