Bluestone Safety Under the Desk Holster

The Bluestone Safety Under the Desk Holster is a decidedly low-tech bit of hardware: thick woven elastic stitched to a rubber backing plate. No elaborate contraption, just a mounted holder designed to accommodate a range of revolvers and semiautomatic handguns, from compact to full size. The rubber backing gives the handgun something other than a bare metal mount to rest against.

It suits someone who wants a fixed place for a handgun rather than another loose item in a drawer. The included mounting hardware and metal-lined screw eyelets are practical details, and the ambidextrous design works for right- and left-handed users. That snug elastic can make putting the handgun into the holder a little awkward, though.

Our take: useful as a basic mounted holster, not a security solution. Keeping a firearm out of sight is not the same as locking it away or preventing unauthorized access.
